About Us
Each year our artists open their studio doors and invite you to experience their creative world, welcoming your questions about their art practice, freely giving of their time, beliefs and experience and offering exceptional works directly from their studios and galleries at excellent prices. Artists Open Studios Whanganui is in its 16th year, and was started by artists Catherine Macdonald and Sue Cooke. The city of Whanganui and its artists are eternally grateful for their vision.
Over the years it has grown from an event based around riverside artists only, to the large-scale Whanganui Regional event it is today.
The Trust has charitable status and the support of our volunteers, artists and the generosity of our sponsors and advertisers, make this event possible.
